Summit Planning Bree Tanner ‘Twilight’ Spin-Off Movie?

Posted by with 3 Comments

Good news and bad news for all you Twilight-hungry fans out there. Seems like Summit Entertainment may be planning to give Bree Tanner her own film after the novella The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner became a bestseller. Bad news is…we probably shouldn’t expect Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson or Taylor Lautner to be involved at all.

The rumor comes from the What’s Playing blog, who claim Summit is trying to figure out an attack plan for the Bree Tanner adaptation, and that it probably wouldn’t involve Jodelle Ferland, who played the character in Eclipse, where she died a brutal death at the hands of Jane (Dakota Fanning). Wouldn’t it be interesting, then, if Dakota’s younger sister Elle wound up playing Bree in the eventual film? Yes, Elle is one of the actresses rumored, as is Chloe Moretz (who you’ll see as a vampire in the upcoming Let Me In remake).
