Hey everybody. We are getting a lot of emails about Stephenie Meyer being sued for plagiarism, and that New Moon movie is in jeopardy. It’s NOT TRUE. Twilight Lexicon already had confirmation from Summit.

Official comment from Summit Entertainment regarding the portion of the story as it specifically refers to filming is as follows: “This rumor is certainly NOT true. Please let your readers know.”

Official comment from Stephenie Meyer’s publisher regarding the portion of the story that refers to the lawsuit:

“This story is false.”

It’s really absurd Kerry. Basically people are saying that a former college roommate of Stephenie is suing her for basing the novels on her ideas. It’s ridiculous. And now a bunch of sites are posting this. ¬¬

I’ve been plagiarized. I don’t recommend it. However, I did not wait God knows how many years to confront the thief: I found the original document complete with the prof’s notes that very day. This rumor is vicious and mean-spirited. Shame on the perpetrator.

Who else wishes Stephanie would continue on with Midnight Sun, and then do the same for New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking dawn? Anyone else wish they could of had more into the love life (If you know what I mean) of Bella and Edward?? I know I do

Haha!! thats wat ive been saying to my friends!! i want her to finish it and then do the same for the rest of it cuz i REALLY am interested as to what it feels like for Edward to kiss Bella and also sleeping(not techniquely lol) with her in BD!!lol. i just say to my friends “blue room” and we ALL know what were talkin about!! lol. its funny!! but i felt that too, but then it was aimed at young adults so that wudnt be allowed!!

Stephenie Meyer good luck with all you do! Keep writing, I support all you do! As for small minded and shallow people who crawl out of the woodwork when you’re doing so well, well if the ideas were truly originally theirs then that person should’ve copywritten them or patenpended them, I dont believe a word of this person and I believe you and support you! Keep up the good work!

I’m wondering who else here knows that Stephenie Meyer plagiarized teen author Jordan Scott’s vampire love story The Nocturne. Having heard these types of rumors about Meyer before, I’m not surprised…but knocking off a teenager’s first book — THAT’S low. That’s seriously low, even for you, Meyer. Instead of Breaking Dawn, you should have called this cheap imitation “The Knock-off”.

So, it’s no wonder that Breaking Dawn was such a weird ending to the series. No wonder it didn’t fit in. No wonder that Meyer told the public in 2006 that she was going to struggle to meet her publishing deadline to get Breaking Dawn out by August 2008. And it’s no wonder Meyer admitted that she “worked with” and “based” Breaking Dawn on another novel which she “won’t mention the name of”.

It’s no lie. Take a look at the similarities for yourself. googlebooks.com
