In its third week, ‘New Moon‘ was topped by another movie which is Sandra Bullock’s ‘The Blind Side.’

resized_sandra_bullock_the_blind_side_780364_1_It is the kind of build up you can’t market or manufacture. Ironically, The Blind Side starring Sandra Bullock seemed destined to be trounced by the latest in the Twilight series, New Moon. But after holding tough on the first weekend, The Blind Side pulled close to even with Twilight in its second week out and now has taken a clear lead in its third week coming in at $6.8 million on Friday over Twilight’s $5.2 million gross.

It is a rare accomplishment. The Blind Side is entirely story driven and has gone from second place in the box office sweepstakes to number one in its third week, beating out two big budget blockbusters in the process (New Moon and 2012). It is true that Blind Side benefited from weak new entries on week two …

Kristen Stewart plays a lap dancer and a prostitute called Mallory in a new movie called ‘Welcome to the Rileys‘ which will premiere at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival this January!

welcomerileyledeOne film sure to make a splash at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, whether it is liked or not, is Jake Scott’s Welcome to the Rileys starring James Gandolfini, Kristen Stewart and Melissa Leo and I have your first five looks at the film. Yes, it’s because it stars the Twilight star Kristen Stewart, but it’s the role she is playing that is going to attract watchful eyes.

Stewart plays a lap dancer and prostitute in the film, which follows a damaged man (Gandolfini) who seeks salvation while on a business trip to New Orleans. Salvation is apparently sought by caring for Stewart’s character, Mallory, a troubled young woman. Gandolfini’s character and his wife (Leo) were driven apart by grief after losing their daughter.

“It’s an independent movie that nobody would normally see,” Stewart said. “Now it’s like, ‘Oh, let’s go see Bella in this stripper movie – it’ll be crazy!’ Working with James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo, who is just incredible, was the most fruitful life-changing experience on a movie that I’ve ever had.” …

rachel-lefevre-ap“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” actress Rachelle Lefevre and her friend, Johnny, a rescue dog, will be urging people to “Adopt Don’t’ Shop” in a series of public service announcements for Best Friends Animal Society debuting Dec. 1 in New York’s Times Square on the jumbo video billboard, Geoffrey Tron.

Lefevre, who plays vampire villainess in the movie “Twilight,” as well as its soon-to-be-released sequel, “New Moon,” is the star of 30-second and 60-second spots that will be distributed to television and radio stations across the country. She will also serve as national spokesperson for Best Friends’ “Puppies Aren’t Products” campaign, which draws attention to the fact that pet shops around the country are selling puppies that come from large commercial breeding operations known as “puppy mills” with deplorable conditions.

“I’m delighted to help speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves,” Lefevre said in a news release. ”Ever since I rescued my own dog I have wanted to encourage people to do the same. Working with Best Friends is the perfect way to do this and I’m excited and proud to be working with an organization so dedicated to animal kindness.”

Robert Pattinson talks to Screen Crave a little about his upcoming project, that is yet to be filmed, “Unbound Captives”.

Picture-29While out promoting The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Edward Cullen himself Robert Pattinson spoke about his future film plans that go beyond the popular vampire series. Former Twilght star Cam Gigandet gave up his fangs for a pair of stirrups with his next film and Pattinson plans on doing the same. Get ready to see your precious Edward go all Dances with Wolves in a Western!

Pattinson told inquiring minds about his upcoming feature entitled, Unbound Captives. It’s a film that’s completely different from anything else you’ve seen him in so take your visions of Cedric Diggory and Edward Cullen and chuck them out the window.

I’m playing a kid who’s kidnapped by Comanches when he was 4 years old and brought up by them. My mother spends her entire time trying to find me and my sister, and when she finds us we can’t remember who she is or remember anything about the Western culture. I speak Comanche the whole movie so that will be really different from Edward [laughs].

Two HITS are coming out this November that will thrill you out! 2012 and the Twilight Saga: New Moon. Both movies will pull a huge audience, but just one of them will win at the end! Read the following article to find out.

Due to a surprising increase in male interest, New Moon may be biting off some of 2012’s audience.

Two big movie releases in the same month in two totally different genres shouldn’t cause much trouble right? That may not be the case when Summit Entertainment’s “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” hits theaters just a week after Sony Pictures’ 2012. Despite one’s specific audience of younger women and the other’s broad appeal, pre-release polling show that “New Moon” may very well leave “2012” in the dark.

All numbers point to “New Moon” building off “Twilight’s” success with poll numbers of 40% among younger women plus first choice and 15% of older women (25 and up). While these numbers are impressive, the shocker is that the same number of older men as older women showed interest. The poll has yet to release numbers on what percentage will afterwards deny ever seeing the soppy love story between a teenage girl and a 100-year-old vampire. …

**Of course it’s just an article, we’ll have to wait and see, I really hope that 2012 will make a huge success which will!
