Due to the many rumors that have been flowing all over the world about the production of Breaking Dawn, Summit Entertainment released this statement!

Summit Entertainment looks forward to bringing “Breaking Dawn” to the big screen but at this point any additional information is premature.

So, this just in, Rob is official a movie star. Now he will be starring along side the beautiful Uma Thurman in his next film “Bel Ami”.

Uma Thurman will soon be making time with Rob Pattinson.

The actress has signed to star opposite the “Twilight” star in an adaptation of Guy de Maupassant’s short story “Bel Ami.”

Kristin Scott Thomas also has joined the cast.

“Ami” tells of George Duroy (Pattinson), a young journalist who rose from poverty to become one of the most successful men in Paris via the ruthless and calculating bedding of the city’s most glamorous and influential women.

Thurman plays the wife of Duroy’s friend, a woman who is extremely involved and connected in the goings-on of Parisian society. She helps Duroy in his ascent, later becoming his wife.

Thomas plays a socialite who falls for Duroy, becoming clingy in the process.

London theater director Declan Donnellan is making his film debut on “Ami,” which Uberto Pasolini is producing through his shingle Redwave Films. Simon Fuller of 19 Entertainment is executive producing.

The movie is scheduled to shoot next year in Paris.

It had been erroneously reported that Nicole Kidman would star with Pattinson. Kidman had an offer, but a deal never got made.

As you all knew, MySpace and Ustream live streamed the ‘New Moon‘ premiere Monday night, and guess what? It BROKE all of the expected records! Check it out below.

We reported on the collaboration between MySpace and Ustream to exclusively live stream the Twilight Saga: New Moon red carpet for the movie’s premiere last night in Westwood.

We knew the live broadcast would be huge given that, within the first minutes, the viewer count shot up to 100,000 viewers, but even our expectations were exceeded.

MySpace just released their data and as it turns out, the stream garnered over 2 million uniques, and almost 3 million total viewers.

According to MySpace press materials, “It was a huge success breaking the record to become the highest amount of viewers to tune in to a Ustream red carpet live webcast. It also set the record as the farthest reaching webcast for Ustream with over two million uniques.”

Clearly the cross-promoted webcast was a huge success for both Ustream and MySpace, and points to the voracious appetite of younger audiences who can’t get enough of New Moon. For Bing’s sake, we hope that this audience is more web savvy then the saga’s superstar icon.

More than a week prior to its Nov. 20 release, “New Moon” has sold more than four times as many tickets as “Twilight” at MovieTickets.com at the same point in the sales cycle.

MovieTickets.com reports more than 1,300 sold out performances for “Twilight” sequel “New Moon” — including 900 midnight performances — with a large number of tickets still available.

“The fact that ‘New Moon‘ is outpacing ‘Twilight‘ at a 4-to-1 ratio really speaks to the incredible fan base the film has built in just the past year,” said Joel Cohen …

This November, Summit Entertainment invites TWILIGHT fans to THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON cast tour, visiting 15 cities nationwide.

The nationwide tour will kick off in Los Angeles, CA at the Hollywood & Highland Center on Friday, November 6th with a special event open to the public where fans will be treated with performances by several bands featured on THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON soundtrack scheduled to include Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina, Sea Wolf, and Band of Skulls, giving fans a brand-new way to experience the album. Fans can also attend a Question & Answer forum with many of the movie’s cast members.

At each of the 15 city stops along the tour, fans can participate in many THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON activities and prize giveaways related to the film. Additionally, each tour stop will end with a talent Question & Answer forum open to the public and select cities will feature performances from artists on THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON soundtrack. Fans who acquire VIP credentials on October 31st will be granted access to a special event with select cast members at their respective malls.

For the chance to register and meet cast members of the highly anticipated feature film THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON, fans need to visit Hot Topic or select Nordstrom stores at 8:00am on October 31st at one of the participating mall locations. They will be given access to return and meet select cast members at that same mall on the assigned scheduled date and time. VIP credentials provided on October 31st are limited and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis to those who make qualifying purchases. VIP credentials are non-transferable.
