American Idol’s Adam Lambert want to be on ‘Eclipse‘’s soundtrack!
Lambert thinks “Suburban Decay,” a track produced by Rob Cavallo that didn’t make it onto For Your Entertainment, should find a new home on the June 2010 movie’s soundtrack.
“It’s a great song and I hope to perform it someday, and I think it will find a home, on a soundtrack or something … maybe ‘Twilight,’ ” he told MTV News. “It just didn’t quite fit [in my album]. It’s very theatrical. … It’s very campy, and it was just a bit too campy for the album as a big picture.”
Although the vibe was all wrong for his album, it might be perfect to score the intensifying love triangle between Bella, Jacob and Edward. “Hey, ‘Eclipse‘ … Want my song? It’s kind of about vampires,” he offered, noting a verse about “bloodlust.” …
Nikki Reed mentioned she’s directing a little music video for a friend recently!
Twilight actress Nikki Reed believes in keeping her career options open – she is becoming a music video director.
The star feels that she might not be offered role after her stint with the Vampire series gets over.
“I don’t think I’m going to be an actor forever. Unfortunately, with time and age your career slows down. It’s just a fact,” The Daily Star quoted her as saying.
She added: “But I’m directing for the first time in a week… I’m directing a little music video for a friend of mine who’s a wonderful musician, her name is Sage.”

Alexandra Patsavas, the music supervisor for the ‘Twilight‘ films, doesn’t want to pick a favorite when it comes to the 15 tracks on the ‘New Moon‘ soundtrack. “Oh gosh, that’s like asking a mother to pick her favorite child,” Patsavas tells Spinner. After a long pause, she admits, “I’m especially proud that agreed to be on the soundtrack.” For his part, the Thom YorkeRadiohead frontman submitted the unreleased, exclusive solo track, ‘Hearing Damage.’ “The track is physically transcendent, gorgeous and used at a key moment, almost in its entirety, in the movie,” Patsavas reveals.

Spin.com talked with ‘New Moon’ music supervisor, Alexandra Patsavas.
How you go about something like New Moon, which features original songs from so many artists who don’t often appear in projects this high-profile?
The work starts as soon as the script is finished and distributed. Chris Weitz, the director, had a very specific point of view about how he wanted the music to feel. There’s a lot of separation and longing and loss in the movie; the bands and lyrics and sound and arrangements had to reflect that. Some folks, like Lykke Li, the Killers, Grizzly Bear, OK Go, and Anya Marina all came into the cutting room and sat with Chris to watch the movie and talk about their contributions. Other tracks were submitted with the movie in mind. I think it’s very difficult to succeed without any context.
A lot of people were surprised by Thom Yorke’s inclusion. How did that come about?
A Radiohead song ["15 Step"] played over the end titles of Twilight, so we had a relationship. I believe this is the first soundtrack he’s been on in a long time, so that’s exciting. A lot of bands were interested in submitting great material, which helps a lot.

Fans of the “Twilight” series will get an early taste of “New Moon” beginning later this week when Death Cab for Cutie[ tickets ], Sea Wolf, Anya Marina[ tickets ] and others from the film’s soundtrack band together for a Hollywood performance.
The Nov. 6 event, which will take place at the Hollywood & Highland Mall Hot Topic store, is the first in a string of mall performances in six cities nationwide. Band of Skulls also will perform at the Hollywood show, and 10 cast members–including Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed and Peter Facinelli–will take part in a Q&A session. …
