Death Cab for Cutie and Anya Marina will together to give Twilight fans an early taste of New Moon.

Fans of the “Twilight” series will get an early taste of “New Moon” beginning later this week when Death Cab for Cutie [ tickets ], Sea Wolf, Anya Marina [ tickets ] and others from the film’s soundtrack band together for a Hollywood performance.

The Nov. 6 event, which will take place at the Hollywood & Highland Mall Hot Topic store, is the first in a string of mall performances in six cities nationwide. Band of Skulls also will perform at the Hollywood show, and 10 cast members–including Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed and Peter Facinelli–will take part in a Q&A session. …

This long and awaited release is finally upon us! Now we can all go out and buy the soundtrack to ‘New Moon’! Needless to say, you just might find yourself crying over the mellow music, thinking of how Edward could leave Bella. It’s a good thing New Moon has a happy ending! Muse are apparently fully embracing their status as the “Twilight” band. They’ve already had their track “Supermassive Black Hole” on the first film’s soundtrack, and come Friday, Twilighters can get their hands on the “New Moon” soundtrack, which features the group’s remixed track “I Belong to You.”

Nothing is set in stone yet, but Howard noted that besides being a favorite of “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer, they also have an in with “Eclipse” director David Slade.

“[Slade is] kind of a friend of ours ’cause he directed about three or four of our videos for the second album, and he’s a really great video director,” Howard explained.
