“Nah, it’s gone,” Howard tells us — just a few months after he quipped to MTV: “We might even do something for the third one. How about that for a scoop?”
The news is surprising given the band is pals-y with Eclipse’s director, David Slade (he helmed loads of Muse’s early videos), and possibly pals-ier with Stephenie Meyer (there’s even a photo of lead singer Matthew Bellamy cozying up to Twilight’s dark-ish mistress on Muse’s official site).
“Oh, it’s nothing to do with Stephenie, she’s totally cool,” says Howard, beginning to explain how Muse have potentially broken their Twilight hat-trick. “It’s the people in the movie business, completely outside of the writers and the creative types, the non-creative types I suppose are the people who are quite hard to deal with in Hollywood, so it didn’t work out.”

According to MovieScore Magazine, Howard Shore will compose the original score for Eclipse:
Howard Shore is on board to compose the original score for the third film in the Twilight series, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Temple Hill Entertainment today confirmed to MovieScore Magazine that the Lord of the Rings composer is going to write the music for the film, following in the footsteps of Carter Burwell (who scored the first film in 2008) and Alexandre Desplat (who wrote the music for the second, New Moon). ‘New Moon‘ must not win an Oscar but a song off its soundtrack might!
The Academy may not have thought much of New Moon’s Jacob-to-wolf transformation, but apparently the moody music did it for ‘em.
Lykke Li’s “Possibility,” off the Twilight sequel’s soundtrack, is one of 63 tunes in the running for a nomination for Best Original Song at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards in March.
The up-and-coming Li could be sharing the stage with anyone from Bono to Miley Cyrus to Ne-Yo—or, perhaps, Paul McCartney—depending on how it all plays out.
The U2-penned-and-performed “Winter” from the Iraq-war-hits-home thriller Brothers made the initial cut, while Hannah Montana: The Movie and The Princess and the Frog each have four songs in the running. …

SO, now it’s OFFICIAL!! As we posted before about one of the soundtrack (Twilight’s or New Moon’s) being nominated for 2 Grammy Awards!! And, obviously, it’s Twilight’s as you all commentators and readers said
CONGRATS TWILIGHT, for more success to come!!
Twilight has been nominated for two 2010 Grammy Awards. The 2010 Grammy nominations for Twilight come from the soundtrack and score for the film, and could definitely add to the appeal of watching the Grammy Awards this year.
Twilight 2010 Grammy Nominations
The two categories that Twilight has received Grammy nominations for are Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media and Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media. The people behind the music in the first film of the Twilight series have to be delighted to hear about this news.
In the category of Best Song, the song chosen from Twilight is called Decode and was written by Josh Farro, Hayley Williams & Taylor York. It’s a tough category this year though, as the song will have to go up against The Climb (Miley Cyrus), Jai Ho (From Slumdog Millionaire), Once In A Lifetime (Beyonce), and The Wrestler (Bruce Springsteen).
In the Best Compilation Soundtrack category, Twilight goes up against True Blood, Slumdog Millionaire, Inglourious Basterds, and Cadillac Records. It’s a bit surprising that there is no Miley Cyrus in the category after she sold all those record for her film.
2010 Grammy Awards Presentation
The 2010 Grammy Awards will be shown on CBS this winter, with an air date of January 31st, 2010 on the schedule. It has a start time of 8:00 P.M. right now.
**I REALLY HOPE TWILIGHT SOUNDTRACK wins BOTH nominations since the nominees are really good and very close!! VERY CLOSE COMPETITION, so cross your fingers guys!!

Another success for New Moon!
So the movie’s soundtrack or Twilight’s is nominated for 2 GRAMMY AWARDS!! OMG, that’s AWESOMEE!!!
It is yet another success for The Twilight Saga: New Moon. The film’s soundtrack has been nominated for not one but two Grammy awards at the January 31, 2010 award ceremony.
According to TwilightSource, “The entire Twilight soundtrack was nominated in the ‘Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media’ category. Decode by Paramore was nominated in the ‘Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media’ category.”
Congratulations, to all those involved this is indeed great news!
**So, I guess you noticed I wrote “or Twilight’s,” it’s because TwilightSource said Twilight’s soundtrack while the source of the article said New Moon’s. I think we’ll have to wait to know which is which!

American Idol’s Adam Lambert want to be on ‘Eclipse‘’s soundtrack!
Lambert thinks “Suburban Decay,” a track produced by Rob Cavallo that didn’t make it onto For Your Entertainment, should find a new home on the June 2010 movie’s soundtrack.
“It’s a great song and I hope to perform it someday, and I think it will find a home, on a soundtrack or something … maybe ‘Twilight,’ ” he told MTV News. “It just didn’t quite fit [in my album]. It’s very theatrical. … It’s very campy, and it was just a bit too campy for the album as a big picture.”
Although the vibe was all wrong for his album, it might be perfect to score the intensifying love triangle between Bella, Jacob and Edward. “Hey, ‘Eclipse‘ … Want my song? It’s kind of about vampires,” he offered, noting a verse about “bloodlust.” …
