Read the following article that discusses Twilight’s success and its bright future.

There aren’t many sure things in the Hollywood movie business, except maybe death and facelifts. Now add this to the list: count on New Moon to score big at the box office.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon previewed here over the past few days, and most in attendance agreed afterward that the Twilight franchise’s future continues to look bright.

In fact, New Moon’s expected to surpass the $384-million US that Twilight scooped up at theatres worldwide last year.

Opening on Nov. 20, the Chris Weitz-directed New Moon continues …

Christ Weitz revealed some New Moon DVD details.

Twilight: New Moon” director Chris Weitz recently revealed to Collider some of the features we can expect on the DVD.

“On the DVD there will be some deleted scenes, there will be a commentary with me and I think Kristen, Rob and Taylor at the same time, and some making of and behind the scenes type stuff”, he says.

He also states that there are around twenty scenes that didn’t make the film’s cut, yet viewers will still be able to see on the DVD.

Considering “New Moon” hasn’t even been released, I wouldn’t recommend getting too excited about the DVD just yet as it won’t be coming out until sometime next year. “Twilight: New Moon” hits theaters November 20 from Summit Entertainment.

“I’d say there was a big possibility that could happen, but I was always convinced that he was going to be able to do it,” said Weitz. “The doubts came up because he had very few scenes in the first movie. Also because he’s described as being 6′5″ in the second book, some reasonable facts that we had to come to grip with. But I like the sort of sweetness of this character in the first movie and I knew that it was easier to take an actor in the direction of anger and rage than it was to find someone who is kind of a hunk or 6′5″ Native American and somehow turn him into that very sweet-natured persona that Taylor brings out so well to boot.”

Collider talked with ‘New Moon’ director Chris Weitz about the DVD:

On my way to do an interview with producer Wyck Godfrey, I happened to run into director Chris Weitz. Since I didn’t have a chance to ask a question during the press conference, I used my shared elevator ride to find out what extras would be on the DVD and how many minutes of deleted scenes “Twilight” fans could expect. While he confirmed the usual stuff like a commentary with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, the big news is he told me there would be around ten minutes of deleted scenes.

From the way Weitz spoke, I believe the DVD is going to have the deleted scenes placed back into the scene so you can watch the full scene play and not just see the stuff that was cut out. I’m not sure if the movie will be an extended edition, or if the deleted scenes will be in a separate area of the disc. I’m sure we’ll hear about that soon enough.

New Moon stars, Robert, Kristen and Taylor alongside the Cullens, wolf pack andf the Volturi are going to answer your questions, so are you ready??

MTV’s resident “Twilight” expert Larry Carroll will be doing what he does best this week: hanging out with the cast of “New Moon.” And, while you might think he has enough material to use when he gets to chat with the stars … guess again! We want to hear YOUR questions, too!

Who to direct your burning questions at:
Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will speak to us individually (exciting, right?), as well as director Chris Weitz. A series of group interviews will also occur: the Cullens, the Wolf Pack and the Volturi. So that’s seven interviews in total: four individuals plus three groups. Our time is limited (these are important people after all, right?), so when you send us a question, please keep it to one question apiece per interview.

Here’s How:
Send over your need-to-know-now inquiries to tips@mtvmoviesblog.com or upload yourself asking a question to http://your.mtv.com/. Label it, “New Moon Question for: _______”

**DEADLINE IS WEDNESDAY (11/4) NIGHT!! **

In a recent interview with New Moon director Chris Weitz, he revealed some of his muses for the film and where his inspirations came from when he was crafting New Moon.

Little did you know there is an educational lesson on history of cinema tucked away inside a teensy little movie you might have heard of called “New Moon.”

When the soundtrack for the film was on its way out, we got a similar lesson on previous generation’s soundtracks from OK Go and Lykke Li. OK Go said the hype surrounding the music in “New Moon” reminded them of their experience when “Pretty in Pink” first came out. For Lykke, it was Baz Luhrmann’s “Romeo + Juliet.”

Director Chris Weitz had a similar sort of inspiration when he was crafting “New Moon,” though his stretched back to far before the ’80s. In a recent interview with Chris, he told us some of his muses for the film. We have detailed them below so everyone can go into the cinema and watch the movie with an enlightened mind.

INSPIRATION: PRE-RAPHAELITE ART

What it is: A group of English painters, poets and critics …

Here’s a new interview MTV did with New Moon director Chris Weitz concerning the movie.

“[I] was reading the book and really trying to pay attention to what I thought the devoted reader would want out of the film,” he said. “And I thought, ‘Well, they want something grand.’ “

“New Moon” will be much more of a blockbuster film than Hardwicke’s indie take on “Twilight,” Weitz confirmed. But he made sure to clarify that it won’t be a blockbuster in the “Transformers” sense — there won’t be objects exploding left and right — but in the classic “Doctor Zhivago” or “Seven Samurai” way.

“I think that Catherine Hardwicke had a very current pop sensibility and rock sensibility. I’m a complete square,” Weitz said with a laugh. “['New Moon' has] more of an old-school ethic, which won’t mean very much to most of the fans that are watching it, but in terms of how we set about shooting it, it probably feels a bit more like my sad attempt to echo David Lean or [Akira] Kurosawa or something like that.”
