The Deadbolt has an article of Peter meeting fans in Vancourver yesterday. ![]()
What happens when you take a break from the web at the twilight of the day and run out to get a coffee in Vancouver? On most days, not too much. But sometimes the unexpected happens out of nowhere, especially when a lot of movie productions are in town. In this case, publicly related to the Twilight sequel New Moon, it was in a first-hand look at what the New Moon stars go through when walking the streets of Vancouver. On this day, it was actor Peter Facinelli.

From examiner.com:
Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon star Peter Facinelli will be spitting fire in his next role as Lucciola (which is Italian for “Firefly”) in The Absinthe Drinkers, a film produced by Carlo Dusi (also producer in Robert Pattinson’s up-coming film Little Ashes) and directed by John Charles Jopson.
Facinelli, who has taken the Twilight world by storm with his performance as Dr. Carlisle Cullen, was offered a leading role but decided to take on the off-beat supporting role as Lucciola.
While Facinelli’s role as Carlisle Cullen calls for him to play a man in his early 20’s, Lucciola’s character is his in his 40’s, and is a crazy, rather troubled artist (a sculptor) who hits the streets of Paris, France with his fire-breathing and gun-shooting. Lucciola, whose sidekick is a drug addict (with specific affinity for absinthe and opium), becomes smitten with the character Artemisia von Rach, played by Alicja Bachleda (currently working with Colin Farrell in Ondine). The role is loosely based on Alfred Jarry, famed loose cannon in the surrealist school of art and brilliant writer of the nineteenth century.

Lainey Gossip has an article and some pictures of 2 lucky girls who met Jackson, Peter, Kellan and Robert in one night. How cool is that?!
I’m jealous!
Wrote Jody:
My girlfriend and I were lucky enough to chill with some “vampires” a couple of weeks ago. The guys were very friendly and flirty (especially the guy that plays Emmett) and quite possibly drunk. Seriously cool guys.

My Fort Lewis Experience
I’d like to say thank you for all of the lovely blogs from Ft. Lewis families and the miltary families across the world. You are the real heroes. What you do, putting your lives at risk, for our safety, makes my job look silly. I would have stayed another 16 hrs to make sure everyone got their DVD signed. It was my small feeble attempt to try to give back for all that you do. I had the honor of meeting General Jacoby while on the base. I was in awe of his presence. I know he will do great things for our Country. I asked him to get our soldiers back safe. He said, “I will. Its my job”. I was inspired by him and all of the families I met that day. And for that I thank you.God Bless. Be Safe. I pray we end this war, quickly, successfully, and free of any more casualties.

From Satule to your Service.
Actor Peter Facinelli, currently featured in the blockbuster movie “Twilight,†was busy boosting the morale of Soldiers and their Families at the Ft. Lewis Post Exchange this weekend. In fact, if Facinelli were employed by the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, he probably would be due some overtime pay as he cheerfully hosted more than 5,000 fans during a marathon autograph session that stretched from Saturday to early Sunday morning.
“I think he might be taking home the store’s employee of the month award for March,†said the Ft. Lewis PX’s General Manager Pat McGhee. “He started meeting fans at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and didn’t stop until early Sunday morning. I’ve never seen anything like it. Peter not only signed ‘Twilight’ Blu-Rays and DVDs, memorabilia and personal affects, but literally took pictures with anyone who asked.â€
Thanks to TwiCrack for the tip!
*That’s why we love Peter so much, right? He’s just adorable!

Julie, a reader of NewMoonMovie.org met Peter Facinelli at the UK Twilight Convention and he shared a tiny spoiler from New Moon:
He talked to us about the script for New Moon and said he was happy with it. He mentioned his concerns at a man directing a story told from a woman’s (Bella’s) viewpoint, but how he was then totally reassured after meeting Chris Weitz the director. My favourite bit of insiders gossip that he gave us was one of the stage directions. In the New Moon script it says ‘the sunlight catches Edward’s skin and we see him sparkle’ ,it then says in brackets underneath (BUT BETTER THAN IN TWILIGHT) I guess they really are trying to improve the special effects!

Popstar has a new interview Peter Facinelli.
Thanks Colleen for letting us know.
PopStar: New Moon begins filming in a couple of weeks. What are you most looking forward to?
Peter Facinelli: In general, the second book, New Moon, is really interesting because of the way it delves into the American Indians part of Jacob’s story. It has a lot more special effects with the werewolves; I am excited to see how that all comes out. I am also excited that Chris Weitz will be building this world.
Talking about Peter… tressedoutcelebs.com has some candids pics of him and his wife, Jennie Garth, looking super cute.
