Ashley Greene was interviewed by New Moon’s co-star Michael Sheen for Interview Magazine. They also have a new photoshoot with her, which we added to the gallery.
[003x] Ashley Greene > Photoshoots > Set 036
MICHAEL SHEEN: Okay. This is my first question. This is the only really serious one, and then the rest are quite funny. The first one is: As an elf, raised by humans, have you found a lot of discrimination against the fairy folk here in Hollywood?
ASHLEY GREENE: Well, I think they’re just jealous that I sparkle and speak elfin and have cute little pointy ears.
SHEEN: It’s true.
GREENE: So, yes, there’s discrimination. But I really don’t care.

EW interviewed New Moon’s Aro played by Michael Sheen.
What made you want to sign on to this project?
I knew about the whole Twilight thing, primarily through my daughter, who’s 11 and is a big fan of the books. She’s read the books many, many times. And I knew how much people got into them. These weren’t just books you read. She was really into it. That was my introduction to it. I read the scripts and the book myself and saw the first film. And I thought it was a wonderful story and a great character. And then [director] Chris Weitz sent me a really lovely letter. It was a terrific thing to get involved with. What was your daughter’s reaction to your playing Aro?
It was a whole mixture of things. She was very excited to think I was going to be a part of this, but she also thought her father was taking over something that was hers. But she got over that pretty quickly and was in the end just excited about going to the premiere really. …

Fancast also interviewed Michael Sheen (Aro).
Enhancing the pedigree of The Twilight Saga: New Moon is Michael Sheen, the star of last year’s Oscar-nominee Frost/Nixon, taking on the role of Aro, the head of the Volturi vampire clan with the power to read thoughts with a touch. He spoke about concocting his characterization, and aside from author Stephenie Meyer, you can bet no one else in this youthful cast is going to share these particular influences.
“It was from Stephenie in the book,” Sheen started. “She describes Aro as having a voice like feathers, so that made me think about what would it sound like if someone had a voice like feathers. And then, as I was starting to play around with it, I reminded myself a little bit of the Blue Meanie. You remember the Blue Meanie in Yellow Submarine and the hand that goes with it? And then I was also thinking about characters from when I was a kid watching stuff that really freaked me out and the Blue Meanie really freaked me out. The Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang – you know, “Lollipops” and all that. I liked the idea of a character who on the surface appears to be very friendly and thinks of himself as just being a sentimental old fool, a romantic at heart, and then he wants to eat your eyes.”

iesb.net has a new interview with The Volturi’s Michael Sheen, Dakota Fanning, Cameron Bright and Jamie Campbell Bower.
Q: Dakota, as such a fan of this series, what were the highlights of playing Jane?
Dakota: I think the highlight of playing Jane was getting to wear that costume and having the red contact lenses. I was really excited about that, and getting to play an evil character.
Q: Do you get to do more in Eclipse?
Dakota: It’s about the same. I’m still not very much in the movie.
Q: What did you think when you saw yourself for the first time with the red lenses in?
Dakota: It’s really scary. I think it makes anyone look automatically evil. It was really fun. You get used to them, after a while. You can see pretty good, but it’s still kind of weird.
Q: Michael, did it take you a while to come up with your voice in the film, or was that an instant thought when you read the script?
Michael: No, it was from Stephenie in the book. She describes Aro as having a voice like feathers, so that made me think about what would it sound like …
