In a recent interview with the mortals of New Moon, Bella’s high school friends answered some questions

Sure, New Moon’s vampires and werewolves may get all the attention, but it’s Bella’s gang of high school friends who keep the movie centered in reality. Anna Kendrick, Michael Welch, Justin Chon and Christian Serratos (who play Jessica, Mike, Eric and Angela, respectively) talk about providing the franchise’s comic relief and keeping it real as mortals amongst all the supernatural shenanigans.

Unlike Twilight, which was shot in Portland, you shot New Moon in Vancouver. What was that like?

Justin: The weather’s actually been better here. Portland was very, very, very cold and rainy. It’s a little bit nicer here.

Anna: One of the freaky things about shooting New Moon in a different location than Portland was the re-creation of things, like the high school parking lot. It was like déjà vu because we were in a different country but they completely recreated the parking lot from the school we shot at before.

You also got a new director. What was it like working with Chris Weisz?

Christina Serratos yesterday attended the Nylon Party where Radar Online got the chance to interview her. She talks about how it was to film “New Moon”.

“It was an epic experience and so massive,” She explained at the Nylon Magazine party on Monday night at Hollywood’s Mondrian Hotel. “I didn’t expect it. But we all get along so well. We film and get our work done, and then we all get together, we go to dinner, we have fun, we’re all around the same age so we just mesh really well.

MTV: OK, so let’s talk “New Moon” a little bit. How was the shoot?

Serratos: Chris [Weitz] was amazing, like, fantastic. I was really happy working with him. We shot in Vancouver [British Columbia], which was a good change from Portland [Oregon]. I love the city Portland, and I’ve been back there since, but in Vancouver the weather was a lot better, and I didn’t wanna die at the end of the day, because it wasn’t extremely cold. I’m excited to go film “Eclipse.” That’s gonna be next month already — they are already cranking it out.

MTV: And they’ll be shooting that in Vancouver as well?

Serratos: Yeah. I haven’t read the script yet. I didn’t bring my laptop with me, so I saw it on my phone — on my e-mail — and I was like, “I wish I could download this as an attachment, but I can’t!”

Looking beautiful in Dolce & Gabanna, Ashley Greene was sporting a ring on her wedding finger, but despite rumors of her recent romances, the beauty told us that it was Jasper’s ring “I had it filming Twilight and I just kept it on.” When RadarOnline.com asked her how life had changed Bella’s best friend replied “How hasn’t it changed?” Ashley also told us about some of the perks she gets now – Juicy Couture is sending her stuff for her little puppy Marlow “They’re spoiling my dog!”

New Moon/PETA photo shoot

I am finished filming New Moon. It was great to see everyone one again!
Chris Weitz was great! I can’t believe that I have been so fortunate to have worked with such talented people in such a short time. Stephenie, Catherine, Chris and more. I am so grateful! This time around I felt more comfortable letting the team know that when I was dressed as Angela, I and Angela would prefer to be dressed animal cruelty free and they obliged. They were awesome! I’m so thankful that they went out of there way to find items that did not have animal products in them. It was touching.
Today I did a shoot for PETA to help provent the slaughter/murder of seals. Wearing fur is NOT sexy or cool. Taking a stance and being your own person is the coolest/sexiest thing you can do. I think fur belongs on the animal, your pet. Take notice. Take part. Don’t allow the slaughter.
