Ready for the next chapter in the Twilight craze?
If the original Stephenie Meyer teen vampire novels, movies, DVDs, posters and T-shirts aren’t enough, now comes Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Vol. 1 (Yen Press, $19.99), on sale today.
The 350,000 first printing is believed to be the biggest for any graphic novel in the U.S. market.
Because of the original Twilight novel’s length, the graphic novel will be published in two volumes. No date has been announced for the second. Nor is there any word on whether the last three books in the series will be adapted to the format.

Goodness knows that the first kiss been “Edward” (Robert Pattinson) and “Bella” (Kristen Stewart) in Twilight was a highly anticipated moment. Apparently, that kiss was one of the several moments from Twilight that made an impact on the general film community. It has been listed on The Los Angeles Times Magazine’s “50 Classic Movie Kisses.”
The Twilight kiss took 49th place (just above An Education) on the list, and it is joined by a great many classic love stories and dramatic films (including A Farewell To Arms, Gone With The Wind, A Streetcar Named Desire, Beauty And The Beast, Lady And The Tramp, Breakfast At Tiffany’s, The Sound Of Music, Romeo And Juliet, Love Story, Sixteen Candles, Top Gun, Titanic, Ghost, The Notebook, and Brokeback Mountain).

EW has a sneak peak of the Twilight, The Graphic Novel and a Q&A qith Stephenie Meyer!! Loving the preview…
I’m delighted to announce, exclusively, that Yen Press will publish Twilight: The Graphic Novel, Vol. 1 on March 16, with a first printing of 350,000 copies. Here’s a first glimpse at the book’s cover, as well as an exclusive peek at one of its panels (for a full ten-page excerpt, and the entire Q&A with Stephenie Meyer, see the issue of EW that goes on sale this Friday).
Meyer talked to us about all this, and more. Here are a few snippets from our conversation:The text of your original novel is boiled down so carefully that it doesn’t feel like anything is missing. Were you the one who did that?
I was definitely involved. I didn’t do the original “script” for the book, so to speak. But when I got the dialogue with the images, I did a lot of tinkering. In a couple of places, I asked for missing scenes to be inserted. For example, the conversation in the car that Bella and Edward have after she faints in Biology.

The Lovely Bones star Saoirse Ronan was interviewed by Hollywood.com where she talked about Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson!!
When reading a novel, most of us develop our own images of its characters based upon our interpretation the text. It must have been a bit surreal for you, having already played Susie, to picture yourself within the context of the book.
SR: Yeah, it’s weird. I really sympathize with the likes of Kristen Stewart, who’s playing Bella in Twilight. I think teenagers can make their points more well known than adults, and they feel quite strongly about things — [especially] with a book like Twilight …Speaking of Twilight, I heard that Robert Pattinson snuck into the Lovely Bones premiere.
SR: Yeah, I heard that when I was at the after-party. I didn’t see him, though.
You figure he’d at least have the courtesy to say hello.
SR: [Laughs] Actually, someone said that to me: “God, you think he’d come up and tell you how awesome you were.” And I was like, eh, it doesn’t make a difference. It’s okay. I can see why he …

That’s right twilighters!! Check out this EW.com exclusive:
For those of you who can’t get enough Edward and Bella, EW can announce — exclusively — that Yen Press will be publishing Twilight in graphic-novel form, publication date still to be determined. Though Korean artist Young Kim is creating the art, Meyer herself is deeply immersed in the project, reviewing every panel.
Take a close look at the biology-class sketch we’ve obtained (that’s an empty dialogue bubble between their heads, if you’re wondering). What’s interesting to me is that it doesn’t look simply like an artist’s rendering of Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson. In fact, the characters seem to be an amalgam of Meyer’s literary imagination and the actors’ actual looks. The description of Edward from biology class: “His dazzling face was friendly; open, a slight smile on his flawless lips. But his eyes were cautious.” And Bella: “I was ivory-skinned …. I had always been slender, but soft somehow, obviously not an athlete…”
**That’s sounds a little bit “weird” for me, what do you guys think about it?

I think I’m not the only one that wants to see Twilight this weekend. I can’t get to the movie because it’s sold out and I don’t have a babysitter. But I saw this list..full of spoilers and it said the 28 things they did to improve on the book. I know I loved the book..Here is New York Entertainment’s list of 28 Reasons the movie is better than the book…
6. At the movie, you get to hear teenage girls shrieking, “I love you, Edward!!!†before the opening credits even begin.
7. We predict at least one actual Team Edward vs. Team Jacob riot in a movie theater somewhere in America; the rivalry gets much more visceral with audience members cheering the arrival of their heroes.
8. While the baseball scene can’t completely avoid seeming like the campy miscalculation it is, we love that the vampires wear old-timey baseball uniforms.
9. There are jokes! Like, people tell jokes! Instead of just glumly or romantically talking about things! Bella and Edward even tell jokes to each other!
