This is a little bit sad don’t you think? But I guess is temporary, just until “New Moon”, right?

We already posted the scans of Robert at EW’s 10 Breakout Stars of 2008, and now EW’s site has a picture from the photoshoot and the article.

Cast as Edward Cullen, the gentlemanly vampire of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight, the 22-year-old British actor became instant bedroom-poster material — before he even spoke a word on screen. Previously known for playing earnest Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Pattinson seems unfazed by this new mania, which has involved Twihards lingering around his Los Angeles apartment. ”These little teenage girls will sometimes be camped outside, but it’s fine. There’s something about people who like this book — they’re always extraordinarily polite. If they were old men, I’d probably move.”

E!Online has some very good news for us

What fanggirls want, fanggirls get.

While there’s still a week to go before Twilight opens in theaters, producer Summit Entertainment is already sinking its teeth into more installments of the vampire romance, acquiring the rights to the next three novels in Stephanie Meyer’s series.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the studio has also secured the services of Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg to pen New Moon and Eclipse, the second and third installments of the would-be blockbuster franchise.

ifmagazine.com has posted the first part of their interview with Robert Pattinson :)
Thanks Peter Browm from ifmagazine for letting us know.

“I didn’t know how big [the Stephanie Meyer following] was when we were shooting,” Pattison says. “When we first started shooting, it kind of, it got bigger and bigger and bigger—like, when we first started, no one showed up at the set, and then, on the last day, there were about 100 people outside the set screaming. Everyone knew everything. But at the beginning, no one I talked to had heard of it, and now everyone’s heard of it.”

And those fans. Oh boy those fans were something Pattison wasn’t expecting. “It’s scary because teenage girls especially are notoriously flippant in their affections for celebrities, so it’s kind of scary,” Pattison says. “The fans of the book are very, very loyal to the book and to Stephanie Meyer. And I got a 100 percent negative reaction when I got cast, I mean, literally 100.”

This is very sad news… I’m sure some of you read about, the San Francisco event from the Hot Topic tour has been canceled, because someone being trampled and there were a lot of confusion. We all here are shocked , we don’t understand why that happened.

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) — Police in San Francisco had to struggle to control a crowd of around 3,000 people who gathered at San Francisco’s Stonestown Galleria Monday morning for the chance to see an actor who is very popular among the teenage set.

Police were forced to cancel the event, after the crowds grew out of control.

Teenagers, and their families had come from as far as Hawaii, Los Angeles and Arizona hoping to get a glimpse of Robert Pattinson, the 22-year-old British actor who played Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter movies. He now stars in “Twilight,” a vampire movie that is based on a very popular young adult book.

Around 200 to 500 people were expected to line up this morning to buy a wristband when the mall opened, that would allow them back inside the mall at 6 p.m. for a t-shirt signing at the Hot Topic store. Thousands showed up.

”After I got trampled I got back up there, but it was really scary cause I couldn’t breathe, because everyone kept pushing,” said fan Erica Martin.

One girl reportedly had her nose broken as a result of being crushed up against the front doors to the mall. Another girl fainted because she was unable to breathe while being pressed by the crowd.

The line to get into the front of the mall stretched all the way around the block.

LA Times ‘Twilight’ Countdown again! And this time they have a short interview with Robert Pattinson, he talks about his musics on Twilight and what he misses most about his pre-fame life.

Vampires are supposed to have perfect teeth; apparently producers didn’t think Rob’s were good enough. He was asked to use Invisaligns, but, you know, chose not to: “I lied to them for about two months. They were like, ‘Wow, That’s amazing. You can’t even see them!’ ” Also, it took him 20 minutes to get the vampire contacts in. “My eyes are super sensitive. I was always holding things up because it took forever to get them in.”

As part of his tortured take on Edward, Rob “never wanted Edward and Bella to touch.” That would be too painful for his character, he said. (Luckily, “Twilight” fans, he didn’t get his way.)

Variety has a little article about Robert Pattinson and a video interview with him.

attinson, who hasn’t seen the movie, says he’s prepared to play Cullen in two more Twilight films in the original trilogy. (There’s a fourth, more controversial and adult Twilight novel.) Pattinson’s next movie, Little Ashes, a gay romance between Salvador Dali and Gabriel Federico Garcia Lorca, is due in March. And the bare-bones, quirky Brit coming-of-age movie How to Be debuted at Slamdance in January, where it won an honorable mention, failed to pick up a distrib at Berlin in February, and still has no home in the U.K. or the U.S. Pattinson plays a sad-sack acoustic guitar player trying to pull himself out of depression.

We know we have pictures of EW to add yet, and we will, we promised, but for now here are three articles from their website.

‘Twilight’: Will the Movie Be a Hit?
The last thing the filmmakers behind Twilight want to hear is that their movie is the next Harry Potter. Sure, it occupies the release date once held by the boy wizard. But while the seven-book Potter series has sold 400 million copies and generated $4.5 billion in worldwide box office receipts, Twilight is working off a global fan base that has purchased only 17 million books. ”We’re not even 5 percent of Potter sales. We’re not even a toenail on that body,” says director Catherine Hardwicke. ”Ours is a character film, a little more sophisticated teenage Romeo and Juliet.”

Kristen Stewart talks ‘Twilight’
She begins with a disclaimer. ”I usually don’t look like such a skank,” Kristen Stewart says, fanning out 10 dirt-caked fingernails. Fresh off her star turn as innocent, lovestruck Bella Swan in Twilight, the 18-year-old actress — best known as the hippie chick in Sean Penn’s Into the Wild — is researching a very different movie role at the moment, that of a young stripper. She’s been spending time at a run-down strip club in New Orleans’ French Quarter called Dixie Divas, taking in the show and learning how to gyrate around a pole, though she doesn’t shed many layers. ”I danced on the bar there three nights this week, and my legs are covered in bruises,” Stewart says proudly. ”Hopefully, the Twilight fans won’t totally freak out.”

Robert Pattinson: Interview With the ‘Twilight’ Vampire
Less than a year ago, Robert Pattinson, a British actor known only for a small part in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, was picked to play Edward, the brooding, beautiful vampire at the center of Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling Twilight saga. Fans revolted immediately. They were furious over the surprise casting of a relative unknown who failed to live up to their idea of the immaculate demigod from their book’s dog-eared pages. By the time Pattinson’s mother told him she’d read online that her only son was wretched and ugly and had the face of a gargoyle, the author found herself awash in guilt. ”I apologized to Rob,” says Meyer, ”for ruining his life.”

InStyle website, has an article about the costume of Twilight. But also, gives us a hint about an upcoming photoshoot *remember, we already saw a BTS pic*.

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart
The much-anticipated Twilight movie—based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer—will bring the enthralling love story of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) to the big screen. With expectations high, costume designer Wendy Chuck took on the challenge of giving the characters the right look in the film. “My inspiration came mostly from the book and I tried to recreate in my minds eye what I saw when I read it,” she says. Their looks, because of the budget for the film are all from a mix of stores like Loehmann’s, Nordstrom Rack, Internet outlets and local Portland, OR, shops. “The only high-end item was Edward’s Gucci jacket for the prom,” she says.
