Looks like Chris Weitz did New Moon’s ending in a different way but he hopes fan won’t spoil it.

Fans pretty much know what they are getting themselves into when they head to theaters to see “New Moon” this weekend. If they have read the book, they have a good idea of how this part of the “Twilight Saga” comes to an end.

Still, director Chris Weitz hopes fans appreciate the way he has decided to craft the “New Moon” finale for the big screen.

“The final scene is extraordinarily emotional, and it leads to a very potent climax,” he told MTV News on the red carpet of the NYC screening of “New Moon.” “And it’s kind of a spoiler, which I hope people won’t give away.” …

The big story this weekend may not only be about how awesome “New Moon” is — there will probably be a lot of talk about Taylor Lautner’s new bulked-up physique. Some fans have even said that the muscles are a game-changer, and have switched their allegiances from Team Edward to Team Jacob.

“Amazing! Let me tell you, I think that was probably the best part of the movie — seeing him half-naked the whole time,” Stephanie told MTV News after catching a midnight screening of “New Moon” in New York City.

Other fans not only loved the muscles, but also Jacob’s new shorter ‘do in the movie. …

Check out this article about the premiere and some issues related to it.

Fan appreciation: An estimated 3,000 screaming fans were present. Some traveled from as far away as Canada, Minnesota and Florida to catch a glimpse of the New Moon stars. “I don’t think most people will get to experience something quite like this,” said Pattinson, who was flanked by bodyguards. Stewart also had heavy security on the carpet. “This is what you work for,” she said, looking at the crowd. “The only reason we make movies is because we care about people.” Said Facinelli: “We’re just blessed to have a really strong fan base. I’m a fan of the books, so I know where it comes from.” Fanning knew what to expect: “I’ve never been a part of something this big before. I heard what it was like last time, so I was prepared.”

Best fan signs: “Team whatever I can get,” “Team Ed-cob. Why not have both?” “Team Jacob, cuz real men don’t sparkle,” “Jasper: I’d cut myself in front of you any day.” And yes, there were even naughtier signs.

Sound man: “I learned my lesson from the first premiere,” said Lutz, who then admitted, “I have earplugs, but I left them at home. They were bright orange.” As for his character, “Emmett is so happy-go-lucky. But when stuff hits the fan, he steps in and takes care of business.”

Surreal moment: “I just feel really grateful,” Reed said. “I totally feel like I don’t deserve this much attention. I want to tell them that I shouldn’t even be in this film.” …

Stars expressed how much the FANS mean to them so they would pull off all of this success.

On Monday evening (November 16), “New Moon” mania took over at the film’s red-carpet premiere. And like Taylor’s presence in the sequel, it’s bigger, better and far more muscular.

“It’s amazing,” marveled the 17-year-old Lautner, who was famously nearly replaced as Jacob Black last winter but packed on 30 pounds of muscle to keep the role. “We all know the premiere for ‘Twilight‘ was insane, but this is multiplied by 10. I did not expect this at all!”

With thousands of Twilighters — many of whom began lining up last week — packing the sidewalks, the shrieks roared like airplanes …

For all of the answers, visit Stephenie Meyer’s official Web site.
