It has already been confirmed long ago (not officially though) but this article features some words from representatives about making “Breaking Dawn” into a film.

“The fans should rest assured the we’re working with Stephenie Meyer to bring Breaking Dawn to the big screen,” the rep said. “As in all creative processes, things take time. We want to make sure we get it right.”
And as Twilight fans know, that probably means softening the more hard-core aspects of Breaking Dawn.
“Our fans are in the PG age range, and I don’t feel a big necessity to see violence and to see gore,” Twilight/New Moon/Eclipse screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg told us in late April.
Gore or not, Kristen Stewart probably said it best when we chatted with her in March.
“We all really hope there is going to be a number four,” she said at the time. “I’m pretty confident that the fans aren’t going to…lose interest. The only case that a fourth one wouldn’t be made is if all of a sudden people stopped caring, and I really don’t think that’s going to happen.”

What the fudge?!?!! thats BS. The fans of the books arent just Fricken teens im in my twenties and love the books. I know women from 18 – 45 who read the books. Breaking Dawn is more adult. The things that happen r more adult. Dont cut it out or tame it. That damages the story. It turns people off the films and people who havent read the books that see the films think crap..this is very juvenile and think well if the films r this childish then the books must b too. They cant cut the sex scenes and birth scene or tame it, it will lose the effect and meaning.

by MADDIE in August 19 - 5:45 am

WTF? PG range? What the hell is she talking about? Most of the fans are in the PG-13 to R ranges. Why the hell is she doing this movie, if she doesn’t know who she’s writing for?

And for the record, I totally agree with Elle

by V in August 19 - 6:05 am

Oh I agree with the previous comments. The books are aimed at women of all ages. They cant just say the target auidence are in the PG rating, thats incorrect. I dont know about some people but when I wasin the PG rating i probably wouldnt’ve read theses books, epesh Breaking Dawn as it isnt aimed at directly at tweens. The scenes Elle mentioned are important moments. They should’nt soften them.

by Olivia in August 19 - 9:06 am

PG rating!? if you are in the pg rating you shouldn’t of read the books! im sick and tired of the younger people i know going ” i know everying about twilight! Ive read all the books, even breaking dawn!” the reason i hate it is because they brag about knowing everything when they don’t even know what some of the big words in the books mean!

by Taryn in August 19 - 10:49 am

WHAT? Actually, we do want to see the gore. We want to see what we read in the book. Wow. Already making us mad. Also, aren’t teenagers pg-13 range? Ugh! They’re not going to get this right!

by Tonya in August 19 - 11:57 am

I totally agree with Olivia! And also, I really think that young girls like 13 and 14 read the books only for “the hot vampires and werewolves”! They don’t give a penny about the true meaning of the story and that’s just irritating! Although I don’t wanna speak bad about them, I’m 17, just a few years older but that’s what I get from girls at that age because I have real life experiences!

by cara in August 19 - 12:38 pm

I’d be fine with them just having a wedding during the credits of Eclipse. BD was a disaster of a book. Well, in my opinion.

by kara in August 19 - 2:06 pm

i think that since they read the books and read the “gore & violence”- they are old enough to see it. there’s not a big difference from reading & seeing. since when you read you picture it anyway!

by Amber in August 19 - 8:27 pm

Um, if you’ve read the book then you’ve already seen the gore that is in it! BD is my FAVORITE one of the series and I just feel like they are going to ruin it!
PG??? I’m 25!

by Bella Marie Cullen in August 19 - 9:01 pm

I AGREE WITH EVERYONE (EXCEPT CARA) IN SO MANY WAYS. THIS PISSES ME OFF. PG?! I’M NINETEEN! THIS IS SO F*CKING PISSY.

by Bella Marie Cullen in August 19 - 9:04 pm

Oh my god Olivia! I feel the same way. It’s like they try to compete and “oh I have all the Twilight books and I love… Edmund? I think that’s his name… um, what’s a vampire?” And they try to compete with the real fans who can actually understand the books. I am so pissed with these “fans” that are in third freaking grade and fourth who think they’re so cool cause they can see a PG movie. Ugh!

by Bella Marie Cullen in August 19 - 9:09 pm

But also, my sister is 14 and really cherishes the book. She really understands the meaning. I thank God for having a sister that isn’t like what Tonya said. ;) No offense, Tonya, but some of her friends aren’t like that, they really appreciate and understand the book. :)

by Kayla in August 19 - 9:31 pm

I agree with all the previous comments. DON’T tame down BD just because little girls read it, I’m in College and I LOVE the books. In BD a lot of mature stuff happen (sex, birth…) THAT”S APART OF LIFE. IF THE LITTLE GIRLS HAVE READ THE BOOKS, THEN THEY KNOW WHAT HAPPENS. SEX AND BIRTH AND VIOLENCE ARE APART OF LIFE… DON’T CHANGE THE BOOK SO IT CAN FIT A PG RATING. I WILL BE PISSED IF I ONLY SEE BELLA & EDWARD HAVE A PECK AND THEN OMG- SHES PREGNANT AND THEN OMG THE BABY JUST CAME ON THE DOOR STEP OR SOMETHING! UGH.

by Twilight Fan in August 19 - 10:07 pm

I agree with these comments too! The movie should stay true to the book and if it doesn’t there’s going to be a lot of disappointed fans. If you can read the books, you can see it in a movie. At LEAST make it PG-13, there’s no way it can be done correctly in just PG.

by Neish in August 20 - 2:51 am

I agree with all the comments on here.
Haha just like Kayla said…
ON’T CHANGE THE BOOK SO IT CAN FIT A PG RATING. I WILL BE PISSED IF I ONLY SEE BELLA & EDWARD HAVE A PECK AND THEN OMG- SHES PREGNANT AND THEN OMG THE BABY JUST CAME ON THE DOOR STEP OR SOMETHING! UGH”

Seriously can a petition be started or something??? This is ridiculous. If young girls have the read the books, even if they cant understand the full meaning, they’e enjoyed the books and know whats going to happen. So why cut it or soften it?

by Tonya in August 20 - 7:18 am

Bella Marie Cullen, yeah you’re probably right but a lot of my neighbors are 14 year old girls and when they saw the movie they were all like “Oh Edward is so hot and so gorgeous and I’m in love with him”! I want to kill them when they say this stuff! Kidding, but it’s too irritating!
And Twilight Fan, it’s definitely not gonna be PG! It wouldn’t make any sense if that happened! The thing is that they will probably rate it PG-13 when it should be rated R because it’s more appropriate for Breaking Dawn due to the sex and birth scenes which simply cannot be changed! They are the essence of the story!

by Bella Marie Cullen in August 20 - 11:31 am

Yeaa Tonya, I agree. I totally hate it when they try to compete with the real Twi fans and say, like you said, “oh they’re so hot” ugh i agree just wanna kill em!

by joss in August 20 - 11:40 am

i agree with pretty much everyone..
I love BD. one of my fave books.
Sure i’m 13. But i love those books so much. It doesn’t matter to me if edward or jacob is really good looking. i think so yes. but that’s not why i love it..
And I don’t want they to change BD. I love it. I’m really confused about this whole thing……
I want the movie to be exactly like the book, With every scene!!!

by rachael in August 20 - 12:44 pm

Don’t Get Me Wrong But Whats the point making 3 movies wen they are 4 books and its a series right? wich means it contuines, so you wanna see the whole story if you get wt im getting at lol

by Neish in August 21 - 1:18 am

Haha I get what you mean Rachael.

But since people have brought up the topic of the annoying who fans who just go on about the actors hotness.
When I saw Twilight at the movies, it was one of the worst experiences. There were “Tweens” squealing throughout the entire film. When Edward and Bella finally went to kiss all they did was squeal. They made comments throughout the film that just proved it was going over their heads.

I remember the DVD launch and there were hundreds of fans, but the tweens ruined the experience. It was embarrassing they were asked what they liked about the films and if theyd read the books and all they’d do is scream and say Edward because his sooo hot!

Its because of those fans that people are turned off by the films and books. Especially the books because just like Elle said people go to the movies like I did and are surrounded by screaming tweens and then the films been tamed ALOT. Alot of the friendship scenes & love scenes between Bella and Edward were cut out. It just makes people who’ve never read the books think the books must be incredibly juvenile.

I dont know but…kids today seem to be so much more immature and obsessed with celebrity. Obviously not evey 13 year old is like that but…the ones that are, are ruining the Twilight Series.

by C in August 21 - 1:56 am

WTF?
Hello, Im 14, getting 15 soon. But whatever.
Im old enough to see violence and stuff :o I watched horror and everything before ! Whats the problem?

And, if you think that I don’t understand the real meaning of the book because I have no experience?! Wow, you’re so wrong girl. I do know what love is.

Pf. You all pissed me of.

by ERiiiN in September 10 - 5:27 pm
